The King Abdullah II Fund for Development ("KAFD") respects the privacy of every individual who accesses KAAYIA.org ("King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement®"). This Privacy Policy outlines the information that KAFD may collect through or in connection with King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® and how KAFD may use that information. To make this notice easy to find, King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® provides a link on the King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® website.

Visitors and Applicants.
All content in King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® is accessible to the general public. All individuals who visit King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® shall be hereinafter referred to as "Visitors." Individuals who apply for the award shall be hereinafter referred to "Applicants".

Personally-Identifiable Contact Information from Visitors.
KAFD will not collect any personally-identifiable contact information, including but not limited to, the name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address ("Personally-Identifiable Contact Information") of a Visitor unless he or she voluntarily discloses such Personally-Identifiable Contact Information to KAFD. Visitors who have disclosed Personally-Identifiable Contact Information to KAFD but subsequently desire that KAFD remove it from its records, or would like to have such information corrected or updated, should contact KAFD at +962 6 5822820, in which case KAFD will use reasonable efforts to delete such Personally-Identifiable Contact Information from its existing files or to revise it, as requested. KAFD uses return email addresses to answer email that it receives. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. KAFD does not use or share any Personally-Identifiable Contact Information disclosed by Visitors except to reply to email and/or under the circumstances described in Compliance with Legal Process below.

Personally-Identifiable Contact Information from Applicants.
In order to become an Applicant , an individual must (1) Be 18 years or older (2) complete an online registration form, which requires the submission of certain Personally-Identifiable Contact Information, including but not limited to, demographic information (e.g., name, email address, zip code, age (only if over age 17), etc.) and preference information (username, password, etc.), that KAFD uses to contact the Applicant about services on King Abdullah Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement®. All of the registration information an Applicant provides will be stored by KAFD, and some or all of that information will be stored by KAFD in a secure database.

Compliance with Legal Process.
Please note that KAFD may disclose Personally-Identifiable Contact Information if it is required to do so by law or it in good faith believes that such action is necessary to (1) comply with the law or with the legal process; (2) protect and defend KAFD's rights and property; (3) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement®; or (4) protect the personal safety or property of the users of King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® or the public (including, but not limited to, circumstances in which an individual provides false information or attempts to pose as someone else, and such information may be disclosed as part of an investigation into the individual's actions). If KAFD is compelled by law, court order, or other judicial or legal process to disclose any of a Visitor's or Applicant's personal information to a court or third party, KAFD may undertake reasonable efforts to give that Visitor or Applicant prior notice using the contact information it has provided. However, such notice is not guaranteed.

Children.
King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® is targeted to users who are above the age of 13, and only those users who are over the age of 18 are eligible to submit any information to the King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® site; therefore, King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® has no intention of collecting any Personally-Identifiable Contact Information from children under the age of 18. KAFD asks children under 18 years old not to voluntarily provide any information about themselves (including without limitation name, address, or email address) to KAFD via King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement®. If a child under age 18 has provided Personally-Identifiable Information to KAFD without the consent or approval of a parent or guardian, the parent or guardian should contact KAFD at +962 6 5822820 if seeking to have such information deleted from existing records. Upon such a request, KAFD will use reasonable efforts to delete the child's information from its existing records.

Non-Personally-Identifiable Contact Information Collected Automatically.
In some cases, King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® may also collect information about a Visitor or an Applicant that is not personally-identifiable. Examples of such information include the user's IP address, the type of Internet Browser, the type of computer operating system, the location of the user's computer on the Internet, the domain name of the website from which the user linked to King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement®, and the pages within King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® that each user visits. This information is used for various purposes including internal review and traffic audits.

Use of Aggregated Information.
KAFD reserves the right to collect, to use, and to disclose to third parties information about general access to and usage of King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® and any related services, including information gathered during use of King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement®. Any information disclosed will be in the form of aggregate data (such as overall patterns or demographic reports) that does not describe or identify any individual user. KAFD may also perform statistical analyses of user behavior in order to measure interest in the various areas of King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement® (for product development) purposes. KAFD will not release Personally-Identifiable Contact Information to third parties, except under the circumstances described above in compliance with the legal process or otherwise with the permission of the Applicant, Visitor or other individual user whose Personally Identifiable Contact Information may be released.

Use of Personal Contributions.
KAFD reserves the right to use the name, likeness, voice, audio/video recording, and/or writing ("Personal Contributions") of any Applicant or any Visitor who publishes Personal Contributions at King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement®, voluntarily submits Personal Contributions to KAFD, or consents to KAFD's acquiring and/or preserving his or her Personal Contributions, in any way that KAFD believes is proper, in any place throughout the world, for any purpose, including but not limited to, copying, displaying, sending, or giving Personal Contributions to anyone else in the world, owning the copyright in and to the Personal Contributions (except for an individual's name), and using the Personal Contributions in any form of media that now exists or may exist in the future, without ever having to compensate an Applicant or Visitor, so long as KAFD determines that doing so supports or benefits the purposes of KAFD. KAFD's rights to Personal Contributions encompass any photo, film, or image that KAFD has taken of an Applicant or a voluntarily submitting or consenting Visitor, any recording that KAFD has made of an Applicant or a voluntarily submitting or consenting Visitor, and any information disclosed to KAFD in the course of an interview for KAFD publications and applying for participation in King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement®

Data Security.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, KAFD has put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to protect the information it collects online.

No Liability for Acts of Third Parties.
Although KAFD will use reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of any personally identifiable information that a Visitor voluntarily discloses or an Applicant provides, transmissions made by means of the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure. KAFD will have no liability for disclosure of any such information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties.
